Welcome to the Walk to Jerusalem 2016
Congratulations and thank you for your participation in Cabrini’s 2nd Walk to Jerusalem. The purpose of this program is to increase the health of mind, body and spirit. It is an imaginary walk that provides an opportunity for exercise, spiritual growth, education and cultural awareness. As your leader, I hope to guide you closer to your own personal physical and spiritual goals.
Here at Cabrini, our 2nd journey to Jerusalem will begins, Sunday February 7, 2016. Our community goal is to collectively travel the 6,016 miles to Jerusalem. Our journey will take us across the Atlantic Ocean, to our destination of Jerusalem! Lent is a time of spiritual renewal. We will have prayers along the way as well as geographical information about our goal destinations. Watch for your weekly progress, prayers and educational tidbits in the Narthex!!!
Many chose to “give up” or sacrifice items such as chocolate, soda, or ice cream. Others vow to enhance their physical fitness with walking, running or other activities. The Walk to Jerusalem combines this physical fitness with spiritual renewal. There are many ways to calculate our “miles”. Every step or minute of exercise adds up to miles! Every prayer for our walkers adds up to miles!
If you didn’t sign up after Mass - Join Cabrini’s Walk to Jerusalem! It is NOT TOO LATE!! Email or call Megan Pierrel, Parish nurse to sign up today!
